The Artist

Ayala

Ayala is an Israeli artist whose work moves between figuration and abstraction, between memory and intuition, and between tradition and personal experience. She was born and raised in Hong Kong and moved to Israel as a child, and the experience of crossing between cultures accompanies her engagement with identity, belonging, and roots.

Her artistic language combines modern Judaica, abstraction, and spontaneous realism. Through layers of color, material, and movement, she explores how images, symbols, and memories from a shared, multi-generational world can take on a personal, present-day presence. Her works are made primarily in oil on canvas, using brushes and painting knives.
